TERRACE WATER PROOFING.

Terrace waterproofing is the process of applying a waterproof coating or solution to protect the terrace from water damage. It involves identifying the source of water leakage and addressing it before applying the waterproofing solution.     

Polyurea Coat:

The polyurea is a synthetic polymer obtained from the reaction of a diamine with a diisocyanate, polymerization reaction is very similar to polyurethane one, but in case of polyurea, resulting link is a “urea”, so it is called polyurea.

By this link we get from generating molecular structure an insensitivity to moisture, thus making the polyurea (if pure) the best waterproof membrane. It is known for its rapid curing time and high strength, making it useful in a variety of industrial and commercial applications, such as construction waterproofing, coatings for truck beds, industrial flooring, and tank linings. Additionally, it can be used as a sealant and insulation material.

We say “pure” because in the market there are numerous polyurea-called “hybrid”, which are a mixture between polyurea and polyurethane. These membranes do not have the same mechanical properties as the pure polyurea.

Poly Urethane Coat:

Polyurethan Waterproofing Membranes show high resistance to standing water, thus it can be used on flat roofs without particularly good slopes. It provides a simple, secure and easy solution to difficult sealing points (e.g. corners, edges, joints with roof outlets, etc.).It creates a continuous, elastic membrane with excellent mechanical strength, without joints or seams, and is used for both total sealing of flat roof surfaces and for local waterproofing of cracks. Bituminous Coat:

Bituminous coating, also known as asphalt coating, is a type of protective coating commonly used in various industries for corrosion protection, waterproofing, and sealing applications. It is composed primarily of bitumen, a viscous black liquid derived from petroleum, along with additives such as solvents, polymers, and fillers.

1. Composition: Bituminous coatings typically consist of bitumen as the primary ingredient. Bitumen is a hydrocarbon material that is highly resistant to water and acts as a natural adhesive. Various additives may be included to enhance specific properties of the coating. These additives can include polymers like styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) or atactic polypropylene (APP), which improve flexibility and durability, as well as fillers like silica or limestone, which enhance strength and stability.
